Surface Diamond Driller Assistant
Black Diamond Drilling Services works with operating mines in the vicinity of, and abroad, the Apitipi

General Requirements
The Diamond Driller Assistant shall perform assigned duties in a productive manner that is safe for self,
others, and the environment. The Diamond Driller Assistant directly reports to the Diamond Drill Operator
and the Diamond Drill Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Diamond Drill Assistant include performing assigned tasks safely and
efficiently, using personal protective equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. They must communicate
effectively with the Drill Operator, report unsafe conditions, and participate in improving health and safety
practices at the worksite.
Qualifications
The Diamond Driller Assistant will:
• Demonstrate successful completion and recertification as required, of the following training:
1. Common Core for Surface Diamond Driller Skills – Helper Level (Program #
P770200)
2. St. John Ambulance or equivalent – Standard level C First Aid
3. WHMIS
4. Occupational Health and Safety Training for Workers
5. Workplace Violence and Harassment
6. Accessibility Ontario Disabilities Act
7. Any additional site-specific training/Induction
8. Valid Class G Drivers Licence and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate a positive personal attitude and good communication skills with co-workers,
supervisors, and client representatives
• Conduct self within the high standard of behaviour expected from (company) representative
• Successful Candidates must pass the Pre-Employment “Fit to Work” Program
