Compensation & Benefits Information

·       Rate of pay ranges from: $30.84 to $35.15, as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement

·       Paid percent in lieu of benefits and vacation percent pay up to 20%

Job Summary:

Phlebotomist will participate in the collection of specimens, sorting of specimens, and data entry as per established protocols for all patents referred to Blanche River Health.

Qualifications

·       An approved Phlebotomist course

·       The ability to provide effective services to clients/residents in both English and French would be an asset.

·       Must possess the ability to perform routine office procedures and clerical duties rapidly and accurately.

·       Must possess the verbal ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and other medical personnel in order to give and receive information and instructions.

·       Develop and maintain effective working relationships, while demonstrating tact and discretion when dealing with patients, the general public, and other employees and physicians

·       Must possess the learning ability to understand laboratory terminology and infection control procedures.

·       Must possess basic computer skills.
