#25-90: One (1) COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER – Full Time (Kirkland Lake)
The Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) is seeking a Community Support Worker to join its team in Kirkland
Lake. CTRC is a regional Developmental Services provider offering programs across the Districts of Temiskaming and
Cochrane including coastal communities along James and Hudson Bay. The successful candidate will work collaboratively
within a multi-disciplinary team offering supports to individuals with Developmental Disabilities, their families and service
providers.
Community Support Workers act as the initial link to CTRC in the intake and case management capacity, by representing
the needs of individual(s) requesting particular services and by completing intake and acting upon the decisions of the
Professional Resource Team regarding service delivery and assisting individuals and families to access other community
supports and government services.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Social Service Worker Diploma, Social Worker Degree or proof of registration with Ontario College of Social Workers and
Social Service Workers or a Diploma from the Addiction and Mental Health Worker Program, will be considered as
meeting the education requirement.
Must possess a good understanding of Social Work Code of Ethics and Principals and adherence to Ministry and CTRC
Policies and Procedures. Proven ability to work in a diversified environment. Must demonstrate conceptual knowledge and
self-management ability. Two years’ experience in human service field and preferably some experience with various
software programs. A valid G2 driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required. Bilingualism (French and English)
is an asset.
Permanent Full-Time employees are offered a defined pension plan with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan

($1,000/yr.), Vision ($225/24 months), Para-Medical Coverage ($500 per year) and Travel Insurance are provided.
Flexible work schedules are offered, and vacation is as per the Collective Agreement provisions.
Wages: $29.28 – $31.63 per hour
Hours of Work: 75 hours / 2 weeks
