Summer Maintenance Workers
Full Time- Permanent Seasonal
(Beaverhouse Band Members and Indigenous Persons will be given priority)
Following the Mission Statement of the Beaverhouse First Nation, the band office is seeking reliable
and motivated individuals to join our team as Summer Maintenance Workers. In this role, you will
assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of community
buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, helping to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
for community members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general groundskeeping duties, including grass cutting, trimming, raking, and garbage
collection
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of community buildings and housing
• Support the upkeep of roads, walkways, and public spaces
• Paint, clean, and maintain facilities as required
• Assist with setup and takedown of equipment for community events
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely (e.g., lawnmowers, trimmers, hand tools)
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and report hazards or concerns
• Work collaboratively with team members and follow the supervisor’s direction
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as a team
• Ability to perform physical labour in outdoor conditions
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Assets:
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment
• Previous maintenance or labour experience
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Valid Boating License or willing to obtain
• Valid First Aid/CPR
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
