Position Overview:

Northern Therapy Clinic is located in Kirkland Lake. We offer in person appointments at our office, in person school based appointments, as well as across Ontario remotely (video or telephone sessions).

This position is in Kirkland Lake (hybrid). Though we are open to hearing from candidates who can provide virtual services. 

The ideal candidate will specialize in conducting ADHD and mental health assessments. This role involves working closely with patients to evaluate their mental health status, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive ADHD and mental health assessments for adult and youth patients.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings for later follow-up.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients about ADHD and other mental health conditions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in ADHD and mental health care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with a current license in Ontario. 
• Strong knowledge of ADHD and other common mental health conditions.
• Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and a genuine passion for helping patients achieve optimal mental health.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a clinical setting focused on ADHD and mental health.
• Additional training or certification in ADHD assessment and treatment.
