Fire Prevention Technician – Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems (VFSS)
Diamond Fire Suppression Inc. is seeking an EXPERIENCED Fire Prevention Technician to join our team in Timmins/Kirkland Lake, Ontario. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment servicing vehicle fire suppression system across a variety of customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on vehicle fire suppression systems at customer locations.
Conduct mobile fire suppression system inspections and audits, providing recommendations for maintenance and system improvements.
Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings with customers.
Travel to customer sites throughout the region, including occasional overnight or extended travel.

Qualifications
Experience with fire suppression systems.
Experience working in a mechanical shop or other hands-on role involving vehicles or heavy equipment.
Training in Ansul vehicle fire suppression systems
Other fire service certifications are an asset
Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge.
Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, manuals, documentation, and to communicate safely and effectively on the mine site.
Experience using hand tools and power tools.
Comfortable working in underground mining environments.
Reading/interpreting drawings, specs, and manuals.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable using mobile technology and digital reporting tools.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Physical & Safety Requirements
This is a physically demanding, safety-sensitive position requiring work in a variety of industrial environments.
Successful candidates must be able to:
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Work safely in confined or restricted spaces, including climbing ladders and accessing large mobile equipment.
Successfully complete pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing, where required.
Successfully complete a criminal background check.
