About Keepers of the Circle
Keepers of the Circle is an Indigenous Hub operated by the Temiskaming Native Women’s Support Group (TNWSG), a non-profit organization founded in 1997 to promote the economic, cultural, and social equity of Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse peoples.
About the Role
The Program Manager will oversee the pre-employment Training Team at Keepers of the Circle (KOTC) that delivers the Culture, Confidence and Competence (CCC) training Program and supports additional KOTC training initiatives. The CCC is a culturally rooted pre-employment training curriculum that is focused on personal and professional development designed by and for Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse individuals. The program is delivered online, in-person and through community or employer partnerships utilizing a wholistic, strengths-based approach in helping members develop skills for life balance and workplace success. The Manager also supports additional KOTC training programs through intake coordination, SharePoint Participant files and Partnerships.
Requirements
· Post-secondary education with experience in Management or Supervisory positions.
· Strong formal and informal interpersonal and leadership skills demonstrated through life or work experience.
· Well-developed coaching and strong conflict management skills, both formal and informal demonstrated through work experience.
· Strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
· Culturally competent through working with Indigenous Peoples and familiarity of Indigenous history and unique social issues.
· Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
· Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives and policies into practical actions.
· Operation of desktop computer and familiarity with common computer software.
· A valid class G driver’s licence.
This role will require the ability to work in an office setting at our training center located at 175 Government Road East in Kirkland Lake, ON. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, advanced Excel and Power Point skills.
